About this service
IICSM Carpool provides tools for members to post ride offers, request seats and communicate. Members arrange and carry out their own trips. The website does not itself drive vehicles, supervise trips or provide transportation insurance. A listing, accepted request or payment confirmation is not a guarantee that a ride will occur or that a participant is suitable or safe.
Member information and verification
Ride descriptions, vehicle details, contributions and messages are supplied by members and may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated. Email verification confirms access to an email inbox only. IICSM Carpool does not conduct background checks or verify a participant’s identity, driving licence, driving record, vehicle condition or insurance. Administrative moderation does not certify members or trips.
Your responsibilities and travel risks
Members must be at least 18. Drivers are responsible for the licences, permissions, vehicle condition, insurance and other requirements applicable to their activities. Confirm with your insurer that your intended carpooling and any payment arrangements are covered; do not assume that a personal policy covers every type of paid ride. Passengers and drivers should independently confirm the people, vehicle, pickup location, route, timing, luggage arrangements and any contribution before travelling.
Travel and meeting other people can involve injury, property damage, loss, delay, cancellation or misconduct. Use your own judgment, choose appropriate public meeting places, wear seat belts and decline or end a trip when you feel unsafe. Do not use the app while driving. This service does not monitor trips or provide emergency assistance; contact local emergency services in an emergency.
Maps and visitor statistics
Route pins represent selected city centers. Connecting lines are visual summaries, not road routes, turn-by-turn directions, journey-time estimates or guarantees of accessibility. Visitor locations are approximate IP-derived estimates, not GPS. Visitor totals count distinct daily IP visits cumulatively and are not a count of unique people or registered members. Verify travel information independently. Map boundaries are for orientation and do not express a position on jurisdiction.
Optional contributions and payments
Agree on any contribution and cancellation arrangements before the trip. A displayed contribution does not mean that money has been collected. Online collection is optional and controlled by the administrator. When enabled, the accepted passenger is directed to hosted Stripe checkout under the displayed operator payment and refund terms. The operator’s configured Stripe account receives the payment; automatic payouts to drivers are not provided by this app.
Cancelling a trip or disabling online collection does not automatically refund a payment. Already-open checkout sessions may still complete. Contact the administrator for refund review and consult the payment provider’s applicable terms. Payment status does not guarantee transport, insurance coverage, legal compliance or reimbursement.
Availability, third-party services and warranties
The website and apps depend on hosting, internet access, map data, email delivery and optional payment services. Access, notifications, information and functionality may be interrupted, delayed or unavailable. Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service and its information are provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.
Liability and rights that remain protected
Responsibility for an incident depends on the facts and applicable law. This disclaimer does not establish that the operator is exempt from legal duties, or transfer responsibility for the operator’s own conduct to members. Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or removes mandatory consumer rights or remedies. It does not prevent reporting misconduct, making a lawful complaint or giving an honest review.
